Expected results

The project is aimed at:

- Uniting the nowadays fragmented European research on networks by facilitating cooperation between regional research groups

- Providing regional leadership by consolidating the critical mass of researchers

- Spreading new scientific knowledge within and across the NoE borders

Why participate?

This NoE is a social network. Motivation to participate includes scientific advancement, progression of research excellence, social interactions and knowledge exchange.

Motivations and aspirations of participants are highly individual. Some examples based on interviews with participants are summarized below, grouped according to the type of organization.

Universities are primarily intersted in leveling up its academic standing and achieving higher academic rankings. NoE can help expand the range of courses and programmes, facilitate improving quality of education and grant access to field research.

Consulting and research entities aim at scaling up their own research and development activities, hiring new researchers and renewing methodologies. NoE can provide platform for discussions and exhanges, as well as access to database of research materials.

Nonprofits implement targeted programmes and projects, that can be coordinated with NoE activities to achieve greater level of specialization and to promote results.

National and regional agencies of science and education may rely on NoE participants' expertize when evaluating scientific studies concerned with interfirm relationships and networks.

Businesses may be interested to participate for carrying consulting projects, access to expertize and knowledge base.
